Malverne High School Earns NYSPHSAA School of Excellence Designation

Malverne High School has been named a 2025-26 School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, recognizing the outstanding academic achievements of its student-athletes and the district’s commitment to excellence in both the classroom and in athletic competition.
To earn School of Excellence status, at least 75% of a school's varsity teams must qualify as NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete teams by achieving a team grade point average of 90 or higher. Last year, 17 Malverne High School varsity teams earned Scholar-Athlete recognition, demonstrating the dedication, hard work and perseverance of the district’s student-athletes.

Among the recognized teams, the Varsity Girls Tennis team achieved the highest team GPA with an exceptional average of 99.39.
The School of Excellence designation highlights Malverne High School’s continued focus on fostering achievement, character and leadership through a well-rounded educational experience. The district congratulates all of its student-athletes, coaches and families whose commitment and support helped make this recognition possible.
