High School Students Explore Future Opportunities at Career Jam Launch

Malverne High School juniors and seniors took an important step toward their future careers when they attended the Career Jam Launch event at Nassau Coliseum on Sept. 17, joining students from across Nassau County for a day focused on career exploration, workforce development and networking opportunities.
As part of the event, Malverne students were honored to participate in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside local elected officials and event organizers. The celebration marked the launch of a unique program designed to connect high school students with meaningful pathways to future success.
Career Jam Launch is a dynamic career exploration experience for 11th and 12th grade students, showcasing immediate career growth opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, project-based learning experiences, full-time careers and part-time or seasonal employment. Hosted in partnership with Hempstead Works, the event brought together students and businesses to highlight opportunities available in a variety of industries.
Throughout the day, students participated in interactive, hands-on activities, met with business representatives and learned about local career pathways that align with their interests and goals. The event provided valuable insight for students planning to attend college, enter the workforce directly after graduation or explore alternative career options.
The experience reflects Malverne’s commitment to preparing students for success beyond graduation by providing authentic, real-world learning opportunities that help them explore their interests, develop career-ready skills and make informed decisions about their futures. The district is incredibly proud of the students who represented Malverne at this special event, engaging with professionalism, curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored the many pathways available to them.
