Malverne High School Celebrates Pride Month

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate diversity, foster inclusion and recognize the importance of advocacy for all members of our community.
At Malverne High School, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom and includes learning how to respect, support and uplift one another. As we recognize Pride Month, we encourage our students to embrace the values of empathy, tolerance and acceptance while continuing to be advocates for equity and human dignity.
This message was powerfully reinforced through the work of our recent keynote speaker, Evelyn Brown, who inspired students at the NY LGBT Network Youth Conference. Her message challenged young people to use their voices, stand up for others and become leaders who create positive change in their schools and communities.
As future leaders, our students have the opportunity and responsibility to build a world where every individual feels seen, valued and respected. Pride Month serves as a reminder that advocacy begins with understanding, grows through education, and thrives through action.
We invite our school community to reflect on these important values and continue fostering a culture of belonging for all.
