Virtual Enterprise Entrepreneurs Generate Sales and Success at Trade Show

We are proud to celebrate the significant achievements of Malverne High School’s Virtual Enterprise companies, OwlWatch and Guarded Jewels, at the recent Lynbrook Trade Show. Both firms demonstrated the tangible benefits of the VE program by generating over $300,000 each in virtual sales and securing a regional award for digital marketing.
The Virtual Enterprise program is an immersive business simulation that transforms a classroom into a high-powered office environment. By taking on executive roles – from CEO to Marketing Manager – students move beyond traditional textbooks to manage real-world business operations. The Lynbrook Trade Show served as a critical arena for these students to test their skills in salesmanship, professional networking and financial management in a competitive marketplace.
During the event, the students successfully negotiated contracts and built strategic partnerships with other VE firms. The impressive financial performance of both companies underscores the program’s ability to foster essential "soft skills" such as critical thinking, public speaking and collaborative problem-solving.
In addition to the high sales volume, OwlWatch earned the Silver Medal for social media. This recognition highlights the program's focus on modern digital literacy, requiring students to design and execute sophisticated marketing campaigns that mirror current industry standards.
The district congratulates the members of OwlWatch and Guarded Jewels for their professionalism and for demonstrating how the Virtual Enterprise experience prepares Malverne students to be the business leaders of tomorrow.
