Art Student Selected for Heckscher Museum’s “Long Island’s Best” Exhibition

Malverne High School is proud to congratulate junior Lillian Motherwell on being selected to exhibit her artwork in the prestigious “Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at the Heckscher Museum” exhibition.
Lillian’s piece was one of only 84 works chosen by a juried panel of artists from more than 400 submissions representing schools across Long Island. The highly competitive selection process recognizes exceptional artistic talent, originality and technical skill among the region’s young artists.
Her artwork will be on display at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington from March 29 through May 3, providing the community with an opportunity to view and celebrate her achievement at one of Long Island’s most respected cultural institutions.
This honor highlights Lillian’s dedication to her craft and reflects the strength of Malverne High School’s art program. The district congratulates Lillian on this outstanding accomplishment and is proud to see Malverne represented in such a distinguished exhibition.
